There are so many new and interesting startups coming up with vertical search engines that I had to write something about it. Probably one of the most talked about would be a site called Spock (ref: techcrunch, here is O'Reilly's blog), representing the contact search engine. There is also Trulia searching for real estate and bunch of other niche oriented search sites.

Recent article from BusinessWeek discusses the point that search is coming towards a more domain oriented finds, rather then something generic that the top dogs are allowing at the moment.
